| Scope of Services for Jeep and Camel Safaris |
Some areas are protected by the Ministry of Environment and require additional fees for permits, entrance and camping.
Camel and Jeep safaris include (please scroll down for Gilf Kebir conditions)
- Transfers for start and end of safari, from and to locations decided by our clients
- Our representative who waits for our clients at the pick up place with a “Badawiya Expedition Travel” sign.
- Jeeps or Camels
- Drivers or Camel Guides who also prepare the meals in the desert,
- Tents,
- Mattresses and blankets,
- Food (full board),
- Bottled mineral water and soft drinks,
- Accommodation in El Badawiya Hotel (Farafra), Beshmo Lodge (Bahariya), Nogoom Hotel (Dakhla), Kharga Oasis Hotel (Kharga), Siwa Paradise Hotel (Siwa) for a DBL room (if indicated in the program),
- Protectorate fees are included for Egyptians and resident foreigners
Not included:
- Drinks during meals in any hotels and or restaurants which have to be paid cash on the spot.
- Entrance fees for site seeing.
- Sleeping Bags which could be provided with a supplement. (Children until 8 years are free of charge)
- Airport transfers and visa purchase which can be provided with a supplement.
- Accommodation in any hotels other than the above mentioned which can be provided with a supplement.
- Accommodation for SGL rooms which is provided with a supplement.
- Tips for drivers and guides.
Gilf Kebir safaris include
- Transfers for start and end of expedition, from and to locations decided by our clients
- Our representative who waits for our clients at the pick up place with a “Badawiya Expedition Travel” sign, and will not be joining the safari,
- A minimum of 2 jeeps (depending on number of participants),
- 1 pick up truck,
- Drivers who will also be preparing the meals in the desert,
- 1 army officer,
- Tents, mattresses, blankets, sleeping bags,
- Food (full board),
- Bottled mineral water and soft drinks,
- Hotel accommodation in the Oases of the Western Desert for a DBL room (if indicated in program),
- Transfers,
- Satellite phone,
- GPS
- Protectorate fees are included for Egyptians and resident foreigners
Not included:
