EXPLORING THE WESTERN DESERT BY LEARNING ARABIC
Note:
A fully-competent Arabic teacher will give 3 Arabic lessons daily from the 3rd - 8th day of this trip.
DAY
ACTIVITY
Day 1:
Transfer from the airport to a Cairo hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast drive to El Bahariya Oasis (360 km) by minibus, lunch break on the way (at Palma Village Hotel). Arrival at El Farafra Oasis, dinner and accommodation at El Badawiya Hotel, built in traditional Egyptian style.
Day 3:
After breakfast we get into the jeep and drive to the White Desert. We visit the White House (Sharg = East), lunch, dinner, camping..
Day 4:
After breakfast on our way to El Khabbour we pass the famous Wadi El Obaiyed (Gharb = West), lunch. After an unforgettable sunset we enjoy the stew cooked by open fire and sleep under the stars.
Day 5:
After breakfast we drive to the Mushrooms (Sharg = East). We improve our Arabic in the magnificent landscape of the White Desert, lunch, dinner, camping.
Day 6:
After breakfast we drive to Wadi Henis, lunch. Dinner and camping at Ain Serru = Magic Spring (cold, Sharg = East).
Day 7:
After breakfast we arrive at the wonderful Sand Dunes (Sharg = East). Lunch, dinner, camping.
Day 8:
After breakfast we drive back to El Farafra. We visit the Farafra Art Museum and take a bath in the hot spring Bir Setta just outside the oasis, lunch. We have our last Arabic lessons. Dinner and overnight at El Badawiya Hotel.
Day 9:
After breakfast drive back to Cairo by minibus. We take a little break at the Crystal Mountain, then we proceed and have our lunch box at the Cafeteria El Heiz. We continue and take another little break at the Black Desert. Arrival at Cairo before sunset. Dinner and overnight at a Cairo hotel.
Day 10:
After breakfast visit at Coptic Cairo and the Citadel with the Mohamed Ali Mosque, lunch. At the end of the excursion we will visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11:
After breakfast excursion to the great Pyramids of Giza and the Pyramid of Sakkara, lunch. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
