BELLY DANCE TRIP IN THE WHITE DESERT
Important:
During the entire journey, we will be in company of a well-known belly dance teacher and a group of musicians, playing the appropriate music every day for about 3 hours.
DAY
ACTIVITY
Day 1:
Arrival at Cairo and transfer to a hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast visit at the Egyptian Museum, Gayer Anderson House and Coptic Cairo, lunch. Walk through the Khan El Khalili Bazaar at the end of the day, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast visit at the Sakkara and Giza Pyramids as well as the Papyrus Institute, lunch. Dinner at the popular Restaurant Felfela. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 4:
After breakfast drive from Cairo via Bahariya (360 km) by minibus, lunch break on the way (at Palma Village Hotel). Afterwards, we get into the jeep and start the desert safari. We will have our first belly dance lesson in the Black Desert. Dinner and overnight camping.
Day 5-12:
After breakfast we explore the Black and White Desert by jeep, discovering the Crystal Mountain, the refreshing Ain Serru = Magic Spring, the famous Mushrooms and the Sand Dunes (Sharg = East), lunch. Every day we will improve our belly dancing technique, practicing it daily in a different desert landscape. We will eat at open fire and sleep under the stars.
Day 13:
After breakfast drive to Farafra, the smallest oasis of the New Valley. Visit at the Farafra Art Museum. Walk in the palm gardens around Farafra, lunch. In the evening, we can bathe in the hot spring Bir Setta just outside the oasis. Dinner and accommodation at El Badawiya Hotel, built in traditional Egyptian style.
Day 14:
After breakfast drive back to Cairo by minibus. We take a little break at the Crystal Mountain and have our lunch box at the Cafeteria El Heiz. At Bahariya we see the Golden Mummies Museum. We continue and take another little break at the Black Desert. Arrival at Cairo before sunset, dinner and overnight at a hotel.
