6 DAY HIKING TRIP IN THE WHITE DESERT
Note:
From the 2nd – 5th day we will walk a distance of 15 – 20 km daily.
DAY
ACTIVITY
Day 1:
Drive from Cairo via El Bahariya Oasis (360 km) by minibus, lunch break on the way (at Palma Village Hotel). The guide will be waiting for us at the main road at El Akabat (Sharg = East), a part of the White Desert. We will walk for about two hours, have dinner and spend the first night camping.
Day 2:
After breakfast on our way to the White House we will have lunch at Ain El Wadi. We will have dinner and spend the night camping at the White House (Sharg = East).
Day 3:
After breakfast we start our walk to the famous Mushrooms (limestone sculptures/Sharg = East), lunch on the way. We will enjoy an unforgettable sunset, have dinner and camp.
Day 4:
After breakfast we will hike to the impressive natural statue El Khabbour (Gharb = West), have lunch on the way, dinner and camping.
Day 5:
After breakfast we start our walk to Wadi El Obaiyed (Gharb = West), yet another site in the White Desert, lunch, dinner and camping.
Day 6:
After breakfast we will walk for about two hours to the main road, where the minibus will meet us. We take a little break at the Crystal Mountain, then we proceed and have our lunch box at the Cafeteria El Heiz. We continue and take another little break at the Black Desert. Arrival at Cairo before sunset.
